“You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces – just good food from fresh ingredients.”
― Julia Child

Hi I’m Rosy. I was born and raised at the foothills of the Himalayan mountains of Nepal. It was in Nepal that my family instilled in me the value of eating local ingredients fresh out of the garden. My grandma was a farmer and her backyard was overflowing with fresh ingredients: fruit, vegetables, herbs, dairy cattle, e.t.c. I watched my grandma, mom, and aunt cook three meals from scratch and milk our family cow for fresh milk dairy. That part of my childhood has shaped my belief on food: made with love and shared with ones you love.

My family migrated to Toronto in 2000 and I spent my teenage years eating to satisfy my hunger. It wasn’t until I moved to Raleigh in 2008, that I learned the importance of a wholesome meal. It was a way to build life and community.

In 2009 I fell in love, not only with my darling Ned, but also with good wholesome food. Ned, was a cook, but he didn’t just cook, he created beautiful gourmet dishes from scratch using fresh ingredients and my taste buds broadend their horizons. We married in July of 2010 and he served me daily with his creative tasty meals daily. Six months after we were married Ned started a produce business and our home was full of farmer’s market fresh ingredients. Naturally, I was forced to get into my own kitchen and cook. I cooked my way into a national cooking competition show and returned home with a passion to share my love for cooking, eating, and living a healthy lifestyle. I combine the techniques I learned from my family, culinary books, and endless recipe videos to create delicious recipes made from wholesome ingredients fit for all lifestyles. You can cook along with my recipe posts and videos to create impressive and gourmet dishes right in your kitchen for you and your loved ones.

Come share this Rosy life with me!
